Senior National Account Manager
Job description
Are you ready to take ownership of key retail relationships and play a central role in driving commercial growth for a fast-moving international business? We’re looking for a Senior National Account Manager to own UK retail; a commercially sharp relationship builder and confident negotiator who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
This is an opportunity to take true ownership of retail partnerships, shape commercial strategy, and unlock new growth opportunities across the UK retail landscape. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for growing existing accounts while identifying and converting new retail opportunities within the home and lifestyle sector.
Operating in a high-ownership environment, you’ll have the autonomy to make commercial decisions, influence pricing and margin strategy, and deliver profitable growth across a portfolio of key retail customers.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Manage and develop key UK retail accounts, driving sustainable revenue growth and profitable partnerships
Take full ownership of commercial negotiations with retail buyers, ensuring strong margin delivery and long-term account development
Build strategic account plans, pricing strategies and joint business plans that support both customer and business objectives
Present seasonal product collections from the Liverpool showroom to retail partners
Work closely with sourcing and international teams to ensure ranges meet retailer and market requirements
Identify and secure new retail distribution opportunities to expand the UK retail footprint
Monitor account performance, margin development and promotional activity to maximise commercial outcomes
Who you are:
Experienced in managing UK retail accounts within consumer goods or a related sector
Background working within an SME, challenger brand, licensing business, or wholesale supplier environment
A confident negotiator with proven experience working directly with retail buyers
Commercially astute with a strong understanding of margin, pricing strategy and profitable growth
Comfortable working in lean, high-accountability environments where ownership and initiative are valued
Entrepreneurial, results-driven and motivated by building long-term retail partnerships
Experience working with either discounters, value retailers, or high-volume retail accounts would be advantageous
You’ll be joining an established and scaling international business where you’ll have significant autonomy, meaningful exposure to senior leadership, and genuine long-term career progression. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, entrepreneurial organisation where your commercial instincts, relationships and strategic thinking will directly influence retail growth and long-term success.
