Job description

Are you a commercially-minded brand marketer who loves building consumer brands and challenging the status quo?

We're partnering with a leading UK FMCG business that is investing heavily behind its portfolio and embarking on an exciting new chapter for several of its flagship brands. Backed by the stability of a major international food group but operating with the pace and autonomy of a much more entrepreneurial organisation, this is a business where marketers are given genuine ownership, encouraged to think differently and trusted to make commercially impactful decisions.

This is a rare opportunity to join the business during a period of strategic investment, taking ownership of two established consumer brands with very different growth agendas. One is an iconic heritage brand requiring modernisation and renewed consumer relevance, while the other presents an exciting opportunity to expand into new audiences, unlock new usage occasions and drive innovation-led growth. The business is committed to investing behind both brands and is looking for someone who can shape their future rather than simply maintain what's already there.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Marketing Manager, you'll lead the communications and brand-building agenda across your portfolio, owning everything from consumer insight and strategic planning through to integrated campaigns, agency management and innovation projects.

This is a broad role where you'll combine creativity with commercial thinking, partnering closely with Digital, Shopper, Category and Commercial teams to ensure every campaign delivers measurable business results. You'll also play a key role in shaping longer-term innovation, developing compelling consumer propositions and leading cross-functional projects from concept through to launch.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing consumer-led brand strategies and integrated communications plans.

  • Leading creative, media and PR agencies to deliver standout campaigns.

  • Driving consumer insight, research and brand performance evaluation.

  • Managing significant marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI.

  • Leading innovation and NPD projects from concept to launch.

  • Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Shopper, Digital, Category and Sales teams to deliver sustainable growth.

  • Challenging existing ways of working and helping shape the future direction of the brands.

Why This Role?

This isn't a business looking for someone to simply execute an existing marketing plan. They're looking for someone who can assess what's working, challenge where improvements can be made and build a clearer, more effective long-term communications strategy.

The first 12 months will be a genuine opportunity to influence change—reviewing current investment, strengthening agency partnerships, uncovering new consumer insight and ensuring every pound of marketing spend delivers commercial impact. If you enjoy creating strategy, influencing stakeholders and seeing the tangible results of your work, this role offers exactly that.

About You

We're looking for an established Senior Brand Manager—or a high-performing Brand Manager ready to take the next step—with:

  • FMCG brand marketing experience (food or drink preferred).

  • Strong experience in brand strategy, communications and consumer insight.

  • Agency management experience across creative and media.

  • A commercially minded approach, with a good understanding of pricing, promotions and marketing ROI.

  • Experience delivering innovation or NPD projects.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple functions.

  • An interest in culturally relevant brands and diverse consumer markets would be advantageous.

If you're looking for a role where you'll have genuine ownership, influence the future of established consumer brands and join a collaborative business that's committed to investing in growth, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply directly, please send a copy of your CV to eadie@signaturecm.co.uk or alternatively, click 'Apply'.
